Homewood Suites by Hilton in Rochester/ Greece is seeking a responsible Overnight Hotel Desk Night Auditor.
Job overview
The ideal candidate must have the ability to work the weekend overnight shift from 11pm – 7am Friday and Saturday. Experience in a service-oriented field is preferred.
Job Description:
- Includes all duties of a Front Desk Representative working independently.
- Working overnight from 11pm-7am.
- Will be required to assume position of (person in charge) during the overnight shift.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Assist with night security measures to ensure the safety of hotel guests and property.
- Ensures guest satisfaction by providing courteous and efficient service.
- Responsible for accurate guest registration, posting of charges and checkout of guests.
- Process guest payments and maintain accurate records.
- Balance and reconcile daily financial transactions.
- Operates PBX switchboard to handle incoming calls, wake up calls, maintaining guest and staff privacy and security.
- Handles guest questions and concerns as required by management.
- Adheres to brand standards as required.
- Responsible for knowing hotel emergency procedures.
- Registers (Check in) guests in an efficient manner securing proper method of payment.
- Runs hotel audit: Posting all room and tax revenues including No-show revenue. Posts transactions to guest and master accounts.
- Reviews guest account balances to ensure proper payment is secure.
- Reconciles discrepancies.
- Handles cash drawer, accounting of monies and other forms of credit and cash handling procedures.
- Reviews arrivals and blocks special requests.
- Processes required reports including downtown, high balance.
- Processes all incoming and outgoing reservation and cancellation requests in a timely and efficient manner.
- Maximizes room revenue and occupancy levels through upsell selling for all walk in guests.
- Handles in house guest reservation requests such as an extension, late check out or rebooking.
- Responsible for knowing area attractions and services in order to accommodate guest needs.
- Responsible for knowing Homewood Suites services and amenities in order to accommodate guest needs.
- Maintains communication sources such as logbook and checklists for accurate pass on information to the next shift.
- Monitors and restocks Suite Shop.
- Maintains Coffee Area.
- Assists with Breakfast Buffet set up.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Schedule and Availability:
Work schedule is based on the needs of the hotel. Must be available to work OVERNIGHT weekends Friday and Saturday, Holidays.
